How often do you keep in touch with your contacts?
by Michael Krotchie

I am curious as to how often all of you keep in touch with leads, clients, and past clients. I've read so many different types of systems that say how often you should send emails, postcards, birthday/mothers & fathers day cards, etc.  As your client base grows larger and larger doesn't this become somewhat impractical?

Perhaps some of you have assistants who do this full-time?

Dave - That 18 times per year looks familiar. ;) Do you call/email/send cards?

It can become quite overwhelming, which is why I use the following sites to do the work for me!

http://www.specialclient.com/ - lots of different stuff to choose from

http://www.adstamp.com/ - this leaves a lasting impression. It's an inkjet address stamp. Every client I close gets one of these.

I have a monthly e-newsletter that goes out but have just recently been thinking about sending a monthly post card also.  I was thinking maybe the inspiration post cards since this is my sphere I don't want a farming one.  Any suggestions?

I use the monthly e-newsletter like Marchel.  I also use a monthly direct mail piece.  I touch by phone or in person once every other month.  That boils down to one touch in less than two weeks.

Jason - Thanks for the links, definitely something to think about.

Marchel/Renée - The e-newsletter is an idea I hadn't thought about, thanks! It seems you both have the one touch every couple weeks happening.
