Hello my fellow Active Rain devotees.

Over the past several months I have written about the frustrations we deal with in this market. Namely short sales and R.E.O. properties.  These posts often get a slew of responses. Which is great.

I just posted another blog the other day about what should have been done with the rescue plan money. And again, I've received some great responses.

But it got me to thinking, so what now?

We as Realtors pay dues each year to the National Association of Realtors for representation on Capitol Hill.

So here's my proposal.  I am asking that all Active Rain subscribers send me your nightmare stories about lack of responsiveness from banks. Whether it be short sales or R.E.O.'s.  We'll collect these anectdotes and pass them on to the appopriate representatives at the N.A.R. with the hope that they will in turn speak with representatives on The Hill to get some reform in the way that banks are operating under our current conditions.

Let's put this representation and our money to good use.

Go ahead and send me your stories.

Thank you.

Jerry, I have a friend Realtor that has 2 buyers for a short sale and when they go to the Bank to talk about the contract, the Bank says to the Buyers, wait until X date and they will not have to pay as much, since he can cut-out the Small Business Admin. Loan and the second from the former owner.  This is the kind of thing that is going on with banks.  I only know about the issue because one of the buyers asked if I had ever heard of such a thing.
