Naples Fall Art Festival
If you enjoy Art in all it's forms then this was the weekend to visit downtown Naples or 699 Fifth Avenue 34102. The street was closed and the artists were all here! This was the 10th year for the juried show. The prices for pieces ranged from some gorgeous handblown glass balls $13 to amazing sculptures in the thousands. I saw some fantastic prices on just about everything. I have my eye on some pearl earrings and a wall sculpture for my lanai.
Being a juried show means that the artists have to apply to participate and then are selected from many applicants. The artists also are present for the entire show so you can commission a piece or ask questions about their process.
The show does get hot and crowded so if you head out I recommend early morning as the best time! The parking is much better in the morning as well. If you can't manage the morning hours then my suggestion is to wear something really comfortable to walk in, something that's cool, apply sunscreen and bring some water.
Hungry? There are some great munchies available everything from a Maine Lobster Roll from Fanueil Hall in Boston, to Kettle Corn, Italian Sausages, and hand squeezed lemonade.
The cost to get in .... FREE! Don't wait there are still a few hours left. The show officially ends at 5 p.m.
What you missed it?
The next show is the 13th Annual Downtown Naples New Year's Weekend Art Fair to be held December 27th & 28th 10a.m. - 5 p.m. & again FREE !
This Sunday's show was absolutely perfect. Our early morning temperatures dipped into the high 60's with an amazing breeze. It was just perfect weather to head out and appreciate some art! I am so glad I went and plan on going again in December! See you there !
