(PLEASE READ) Be very careful members of Active Rain - by: Robert Swetz

I just received several emails from different people that someone at Active Rain has dug up my License information and Personal Records.

It sounds like they are obsessed with me and don't like me, wanting to harm me or just plain weird.

The AR Gods are going to be looking into the matter because this individual has sent emails to others with my personal information.

Just when you thought you were safe at a great network like Active Rain, (Wham) here comes a weirdo!

I have nothing to hide with my past history and most of my properties are in other peoples names, so it's no big deal. It's just the idea of it, like a stranger coming into your home and going through your personal things. And having them email my personal information is a violation of my rights as an American.

It will not be very difficult for me to find the individual that is doing this terrible thing. I have friends in high places, FBI, etc. and when I find them, I will have to press charges against them. And have them thrown in Jail where they belong.

With the market as slow as it is, I could use some extra money for a some vacations if you know what I mean.

I really don't know if it would help for me to post my blogs to Members Only because it might just be a member of Active Rain.

A little precaution to others members, (be very careful) the world is full of weirdos and they may be after me because I am a very well known person in the entertainment & art community.

A little warning to the weirdo out there, while looking through my personal information it should show that I have a permit to carry a concealed weapon. I do sometimes get a little nervous with strangers around and if someone is trying to harm me, I will have to defend myself!

So sorry to hear this is going on period.

I had a guy threaten me the other week on here. Then he sent me an email this week continuing the threat. Im not particularly bothered so far. Its just some loser. But you never know.

Hi Robert, This is terrible and un-nerving. I am careful what I post to the outside blog and felt safer with opinions to "members only" I can not even imagine someone doing this and it is scary, mean and dis-respectful' I just can not understand why a difference of opinion can't be done with dignity and respect. I do not know what prompted that person to do what they did

but no matter what, it is still uncalled for. I just read another post where someone wrote a nasty letter to the bloggers broker about him. This is crazy stuff. I hope things work out for you and you catch the culprit.

Robert, there are nut cases everywhere! I got some weird email the other day about a word I used in one of my Halloween blogs. Where do these folks come from?

It is possible that this person is high in the ranks at Active Rain and they are very jealous of me.

Robert all I can say is I know of what you speak and there are some folks on AR who have way to much time on their hands.

The internet can be a scary place and there are people with motives we cannot begin to understand.

Cindy's right. There are people out there with way too much time on their hands. My "wierdo" thinks I did something to him and I didn't but out of thousands of people in the world that could just mess with someone, he picks me. I know it's jealousy without a doubt. I'm far more successful then he is and I think he is scared. But that's OK, when I'm pushed, I push back. But harder.

Sorry you are dealing with this Robert. You are such a nice guy and I agree that people get jealous. They hate reading about success. Thanks.

LaNita - It is someone that is jealous because I am moving so fast at Active Rain and they sell Real Estate in Las Vegas Nevada. Like you said in your comment, you push me and I will push harder and that is what I am doing. Maybe I can thank them later for helping me reach the top.

Robert... I had this happen to me (not on this site) a few years ago. It was a bit scary.

Robert, I came here in response to your urging because of my sick political joke attempt, and to tell you the truth, I thought this was a comedy or something. I can't believe this is serious. On that note, let me just say this, I don't scare easy, and I have been known to push back real hard too. Thanks for the warning. Gosh, I'm feeling like Joe the Plumber now.

Good for you. I've always told people "I will push back" because people think I'm meek and won't stand up for myself. They get a little freaked out because I will stand up and it's not pretty. Hang in there and know there are tons of us that people will always not like because of our success. Maybe there needs to be a new group of "Successful Realtors"!

Bob...you have great hair, that must be what they are jealous of...and yes...what a great idea letting them know you have a concealed weapon...that should deter...any wanna be stalkers.... :) all kidding aside....hopefully this person is harmless....and just a nuisance

Sorry to hear that Robert! I too have encountered some weird contacts since becoming a part of active rain. A young girl emailed me privately and asked that I email her back. Once I emailed her back she tried to come on to me. When that didn't work she proceeded to try and get me to email her my personal bank account information. I politely told this person if she ever contacted me again I would notify the police and that was the end of that. So we really do need to be cautious when posting on active rain because we don't know who out there is watching us with wrong motives.

I also started posting more on MEMBERS ONLY than public. I did one post a few months ago about a law here in PA and ever since then i've gotten strange emails from multiple members of the public requesting I help them. I've politely replied to each one and said that I am not a lawyer and that I cannot help, but some keep emailing.

Konnie - I think is is the hair, maybe their losing theirs or some thing, thanks for the comment.

This is so creepy and annoying (it ticks me off when someone intrudes where they do not belong). It sounds like you have a handle on it - and that the AR gods working with you.

It also sounds like you may know who it is. I hope it is harmless (as harmless as something this could be?? nothing malicious can really be 'harmless')

Sweetie, please be careful and do what you have to do to protect you and your family. My husband and I do not take kindly to threats and will gear up the legal machine in a heartbeat if we feel that it is necessary. I don't know what this is about but please keep us posted.

Thank you little sister and I think it's very rude and childish for anyone to pull up someones personal information to try and ruin another persons reputation. I will keep you posted and there are some people that are on to the person and we will find out what this is all about.
