I get asked by real estate agents to recommend books all the time, so I have decided to put together a list of the best books for real estate agents.

We would love to hear from you about the books you have read which have helped you the most in your career. Please leave a comment on this blog listing the book title, author and why you would recommend this book.

A book that I have on my shelf at work is not directly related to the business world, but it has excellent principles that can relate to the business world --- "In Retrospect -- The Tragedy and Lessons of Vietnam" by Robert McNamara. It does remind me --- 1) Don't be afraid to ask the tough questions. 2) Good, critical thinking is a must. 3) Unquestioned assumptions can hurt you. 4) As arrogant as we may be -- sometimes there are no good solutions. 5) Keep it all in perspective -- probably no one will die as a result of your decisions.

Kirsty,

Thier are several books that I can recommend;

1. 21 Things I Wish My Broker Had told me by Frank Cook

2. The Real Estate Agent by Gary Keller

3. Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill

4. Secrets of Question Based ASelling by Thomas Freese

 I have others that I can mention but the books you read are all viewed differently in the readers minds-eye.  ANY book you read should be read at least 2 times.

I always read wit a positive attitude, that alone lets me visualize the readings more clearly

Kirsty, I liked Real Estate Agent for Dummies and Real Estate Champion by Dirk Zeller.  How to list and sell Real Estate by Tom Hopkins.  How to develop a six figure income, by Mike Ferry.  The Millionaire Real Estate Agent and Switch by Gary Keller.  And last but not least the 7 Habits of Highly Successful People, by Stephen Covey.  Those are the most influential, I try to read as many books as I can get my hands on, but these have been the ones that I go back to time and again.
