CHUCKIE CONTROVERSY THREATENS TO ENGULF THE CITY!

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Estate Properties

DON'T YOU LOVE THE CLOWN CONTROVERSY? A well-to-do family goes over the top with Halloween decorations that encroach on city land. Then, they get upset when the city requires them to remove the expensive, garish stuff. Money doesn't buy entitlements in Palos Verdes Estates. If you goof up, you goof up. Take the stuff down and be quiet about it. These people were warned last year about their Halloween decorations. What part of "city land" don't they understand? HAPPY HALLOWEEN. BOO!

Really people get a life! Let them have some fun! It's not like Halloween lasts 365 days a year. All of you naysayers must have had a horrific childhood, poor things! I guess you're still mad you can't get invited to the play at the fun house!

Maggie, If it was only that easy.  People who buy homes in Palos Verdes Estates know they have stringent rules and regulations. That's why they buy there. Palos Verdes Estates has one of the oldest Homes Associations in the county of Los Angeles.  Why on the world do you think they would allow people to encroach on city property?  While I would agree that Halloween decorations are a trivial matter, the larger picture at issue is the city rules that can be extremely restrictive but also contribute to the homogeneous nature of the area that people so covet.  It is also why Palos Verdes Estates has some of the highest property values in Los Angeles County.
