another computer crash. I'm finally back up an fully operational after nearly 3 weeks of we think it's this, we think it's that, the parts we brought were bad, yada, yada, yada!!!!!

I was reduced to working off of nothing but my laptop which is not completely set up to run an office.

I also found out that my back up external hard drive was not BACKING UP like it was supposed to. Got that fixed now also, hopefully.

I was seriously contemplating throwing the entire computer and the technicians in the pool.

But, then I would have had to paid for data recovery and human rescue services...lol

So this is my rant and now it's time to get back to work.

Welcome Back Wayne!  It's always a pain in the neck when a computer is not working properly (or at all).

Good to hear from you John.

It was a nightmare!

You really don't realize how much we are reliant on these electronic assistants until they are rendered impotent.lol

Thankfully everything was covered and it didn't cost me anything out of pocket, now lost production is another story.

I hear you Rich!

When I had a near fatal problem with my hard drive, that was discovered by accident.

After that I set up a 500 gig external hard drive to back up my system evey night. Well is seem something must have happened because it stopped doing it apparently about a month ago. I believe it was due to the problem that ultimately cause my computer to crash, but who knows.

Now it's set up to back up my desktop and laptop (when I have it plugged in) every night.

So far, all appears to be working properly.
