The flip video camera

I just started playing with the flip video camera recently.   My opinion, for youtube.com it is GREAT.  It is fast and easy to use.  Buyers will appreciate if you can show them a couple of quick videos and as agents it is a good ice breaker.  I'm going around and collecting testimonials from past and current clients who I've had contact with.  Initially the reaction is one of shyness but everyone comes around and wants to have their 15 second of fame.

As a tool this is a cheap and effective way to break the ice for first contact situations.  We all realize how hard it is to start the ball rolling but with the younger generation (younger than me) a quick fix of technology will make them think you are at least in the same planet with them.

As noted by many of my co-workers and clients, this is not a replacement for full on video but few of us can afford the 30K in video equipment and even fewer of us have the skill to make a video have the same results of George Lucas.

Video and photography have been a hobby for me and this little gadget at under $150.00 is a perfect buy.  Costco has them on sale now (10/22/2008).  Just like you Supra Key and a small digital camera it is a must have for realtors, this is a very cool way to start a conversation.

Note:  The videos come out great on an IPOD, it looks better than on the camera so I would recommend that.
