McAfee's Knob, Catawba VA and the Appalachian Trail

Took a hike up the AT to McAfee's Knob this past weekend. I'd never been up there, and I had no idea what I was missing. Absolutely gorgeous, you've got to see it in person.

McAfee's Knob is one of the most scenic - and most photographed - sites on the Appalachian Trail. It features a breathtaking view of the Jefferson National Forest, Tinker Ridge and the Catawba Valley. Easily one of the most beautiful spots in Virginia's section of the Appalachian Trail.
