Do you ever just sit and look up at the clouds?

As a child I used to love staring at the clouds...lying in the cool grass...and seeing what shapes I could find.

I haven't taken too much time in late years for this pass time...too much work to do,
but thanks to Robert Swetz and Sharon Young I am again looking at what beautiful marvels are up in the sky.

Robert & Sharon have a group called Clouds At Active Rain (Clouds Attached).

I recently returned from vacation I took a lot of cloud pictures from various parts
of the Fort Wayne, IN and surrounding areas.

These are some of my favorite clouds.

Blue Green 1

 Blue Green 2

                                                                 Blue Green 3

                                                                  Blue Green 4
I find the last 2 pictures very beautiful.
I like the light shining through the center of the darkness.

I also tried to get some cloud shots from the plane, but they
all came out too dark.

Coincidently, I watched clouds with my granddaughter 2 days ago.  She wanted me to join her laying on the grass.  Well, what else are you going to do but look at the sky? So Pretty!

I was telling my son about seeing pictures in clouds just the other day.  We agreed to try it soon.

Christine - It is fun to look at the clouds...there is actually a cloud appreciation group...I guess I'm not alone.

Paula - That's true...not much there but the sky.  The sky is beautiful though...of course in Arizona it is hard to look at the sky until around dusk because of the suns intensity.

Chastity:  I can remember many times as a child... I would go into my back yard... lay down on the grass and just gaze up at the sky.  Watching the clouds, the moon... was just incredibly therapeutic.  Thanks for sharing your pictures.  Take care...

Karen - I love going out after dark and staring at the stars and moon!  Since Arizona is hot I mainly do that here.

Chastity, I use to lay in the front yard, sometimes with my dad, and watch for what seemed like hours at the clouds. Clouds bring me peace...

I prefer to watch the waves roll in at my favorite beach.  It's hypnotic on a lazy afternoon.  Yes, I make sure I set aside some "lazy" time in my hectic schedule.

Chastity, I can remember looking for images in the clouds when traveling with my parents as a child. It was fun for myself and my sister, and it made the time pass by. Thanks for bringing back the memories. Good photos.

Chastity, The cloud photos are beautiful, so were the other ones.  I love to watch them move and re-form and always see something in them--they do facinate me.

Chastity - What beautiful pictures and what a great feeling of peace they give.  Till this day I still find myself looking up to the skies to watch the clouds just float through the skies transforming before my very eyes.

Welcome home and hope you had a wonderful vacation with your family in Indiana.

I love to do that! On our last vacation, I would sit in the hamock chair and look at the ocean and the clouds for hours! It is so relaxing and the clouds are so majestic looking.

Paul - I know what you mean.

Richard - Waves are nice too...and everyone has some lazy time even they don't care to admit it.

Carol - Yes, that is true!

Charles - That's nice to hear.  We moved away from grass when my son was pretty young so I don't think we were ever able to do that.

Bob - Thanks.

Kelly - I've never been there.

Michael - That's good...I am glad you liked them.

Carole - Me too!

Sherry - Yes, they are...I love waves too!  I like beaches with less people though...I like to think when I'm outside so not big on the noise.

Michelle - No actually these photos were taken about 5pm...we were starting to get a storm.

Well Chastity - Your cloud photos are very beautiful and I do want to thank you for posting to the group and mentioning Sharon & I. I also really like the photos with the light coming through and you did get some very nice comments on your blog. And remember for every good comment, that is a Gold Star!

Chastity - I also think that your photos of the cloud are very unusual and look like they were taken underwater, there is nothing wrong with that. But that's what makes them so interesting.

Chastity... how did I miss this post?! Thank you so much for the cloud pictures. They are beautiful. I can't tell you how much I love looking at the clouds and skies. I don't lay in the grass anymore though. Florida grass is crunchy and we have fire ants! ;-) But most days I have a hard time taking my eyes off the sky.

Chasity:  Wow...how intersting.  It almost looked as though the pictures were taken during the night.  I was wondering how you got them to turn out so well.  Anyhow, they are wonderful and I enjoyed reading your ventures to Fort Wayne.
