One of my favorite quotes in the classic spaghetti western, ‘The Good, the Bad and the Ugly,' is Tuco's line: "There are two kinds of people in the world, my friend. Those who have a rope around their neck and those who have the job of cutting."
That line has come to mind several times recently, usually when I am watching a news broadcast, listening to a debate, or reading anything related to current affairs. I don't know what's scarier; a Stephen King novel or any recent copy of ‘The Economist.'
Things seem to be going from bad to worse, and in the chaos, chaotic things happen. Not that you need any more proof but....
This property was recently sold on eBay:

The buyer received change from two dollar bills. Someone took the time to look up the address from tax records and checked Zillow.com. Neighboring homes are selling for near $20,000. Perhaps it's one fixer-upper worth considering?
And then, there's the 6,000 sq/ft, 6 bedroom home just a short drive from DC http://www.fiftydollarhouse.com that you can win for $50. As the title of another movie accurately describes things, "It's a mad, mad, mad, mad world."
Trying to put a positive spin on anything is next to impossible, but it can't all be bad, can it? A study done by the University of Maryland Medical Center suggests that laughter is the (http://www.umm.edu/features/laughter.htm ) best medicine when it comes to your heart, so with that in mind I offer up the following good, bad and ugly real estate links that I hope will at least put a smile on your face, even if only for a moment.
