You have seen many posts detailing the hi-jacking of Marc Rasmussens Sarasota Real Estate website by the Sarasota Association of Realtors on Active Rain and many other blogs.

Now, the SAR has had Marcs domain name redirected to their own site, effectively taking all of Marcs hard work and investment in his website, and making it their own.

For the full story and details on this issue, the best sources are Real Estate Webmasters blog and Erick Blackwells Bloodhound Blog.

What happened to Marc can happen to any of us. You can help Marc to fight the Sarasota Association of Realtors, and get back what is rightfully his, by visiting Sarasota MLS legal fund to help Marc.

To see a list of many of the sites and blogs carrying details on this issue, check out the synopsis of the SAR hijacking by Judy Orr.

As a Realtors, we have to band together to stop this type of predatory activity by the SAR. Please help Marc so that this type of situation is not repeated by other Realtor Associations and MLS's across the country.

Hey Jeff.  To feature a post you flag it and request it be featured.  There has already been one post featured, however the more this gets press, the better.

Realtors were the auctioneers of the housing bubble. I wish I worked in a profession where there is no accountabilty. The code of ethics is a complete joke

Wow Bob, looks pretty easy to make comments when you are anonymous.  Cheap money and greed were to blame as well as some unethical realtors.  I don't know what your profession and I sure hope you don't live in a glass house. Next time you have these great thoughts, sign in and be seen as well as heard or shut up!

For the record, Bob,  Realtors don't go out and find people and convince them they need to to buy a house. A person comes to me and says they want to buy a house in my town, can I help them in their search.

Only after they have spoken to a Bank or mortgage consultant to get pre-approved for a certain level of mortgage do I then show them homes to find one that fits their tastes, needs, and fits within the mortgage they have qualified for.

How does that make me the "Auctioneer" of the housing bubble?

I have no input into deciding how much they spend on a home, or what kind of loan they get, beyond referring them to a professional mortgage group that matches my ethics. If the client chooses to go elsewhere for a mortgage, or has some "no money down" scheme they have bought on late-night TV, that is their choice. I can offer my experience and my advice, but they don't have to take it, and usually they don't.

Sign in Bob, and let's have an intelligent discussion of the subject.   If not, you are just "internet graffiti" and noise.
