I wrote about the series a few months ab=go. I think it is a great idea, but I am not all that fond of some of the cars that were selected. On the conversation thread, it was suggested that I work up a better list... so I am.
I just started it this week.
But there are a few things... First, I don't know where this is going. I don't have a list of cars that is already written. I am winging it. So, that means I am happy to take some input. Secondly, I don't have a hope that I am going to be invited to drive all of these cars. I will find a couple that I can pull off, but many of them I won't be able to manage. However, if you happen to have one, feel free to let me know. I'll drive it for you ;^ ) And if I have already posted the car, I will happily post up a second part to it.
The cars will range from track day cars to street rides... some stockers, tuners and even low production specials. I'm going to try to stay away from all out hot rods and one-offs. There will be off-road rides, too... and some cars that are generally not available in the US.
I hope that the list has some influential cars, but the primary consideration will be the FTD quotient... Fun To Drive. As I said in Part I, the K car was influential, but that doesn't mean it was ever fun to drive (although I used to race a Shelby Charger Turbo... which was fun and related).
{begin commercial} And remember, if you need someplace to park your fleet... I'm the guy that knows about garages... and even if you aren't around Atlanta, GA, I know agents EVERYWHERE that know about garages and homes for car enthusiasts. {end commercial ;^ ) }
