Gonna have to go with 'The Mothman Prophecies'. Movie freaked me out, but I did a lot of research on the subject before I went. So, I was already freaked out before I went to the movie.
Can't watch any of them they scare me too much.
You forgot Saw 1, 2 & 3. Also The Ring.
I have to tell you when we watched The 6th Sense we were at home watching on DVD. We started hearing voices coming out from the fireplace. No joke! My son and daughter-in-law looked at us, we looked at them. Still more voices....creepyville to say the least. As it turned out there were people in our garage fighting! That is a long story..... but what was happening was the fireplace was on the common wall of the garage and the voices were carrying through the fireplace. True story!
I avoid scary movies. I also don't like watching CSI, etc. on tv but for some reason I like watching true crime stories.
I agree, the Ring is very scarey. I go back to my Red Rum, Red Rum, Red Rum days with Jack Nicholson and the 70s though for my scariest.
Here's Johnnie.... THE SHINING
I love your list so far! Halloween is my favorite, The Shining is a close second RED RUM !!!!
The Amityville Horrow is also a favorite for me.
The Birds (Hitchcock) scared me so much as a Kid I still love it. I was 10 years old and me and the brothers wanted a pet bird. Mom made us watch this movie and we never asked again.
Pet Cemetary- A great Stephen King movie that follows the book well.
Oooh, I looooove Halloween.
I'd say Friday the 13th. Although Jason's an ass for always killing people while they are havng sex.
Gee...You haven't seen any of our old home movies...That will put a shiver down your spine!
Nancy, I will think of one. I don't watch many scary movies. Oh maybe Jeepers Creepers or The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
My neighbor looks like that chick coming out of the TV in The Ring. Now THAT'S scary!
Looks like people already came up with the ones I was thinking of and I have to add - I've never seen any of these movies and I never will - I'm too afraid and am very good at incorporating these movies into my brain at night while I dream - and since I like happy dreams I have vowed to stay away from scary movies and my husband sees them with his daughter and friends who like them as much as he does. ~Anne Marie aka the big chicken
stopped watching the scary movies, but I love the Shining and Sixth Sense
I might be dating myself, but it's got to be 'What Ever Happened to Baby Jane', maybe because I was just a pup when I saw it! Also the Blair Witch Project was pretty freaky!
