Three Great Essentials

"The three great essentials to achieve

anything worth while are,

first, hard work;

second, stick-to-itiveness;

third, common sense."

 Thomas A. Edison, inventor

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Achieving success has a blue print that starts with the commitment to hard work.

Lou,

I think Edison knew what he was talking about. We can learn a lot from him. :)

I don't know if it is true or not - but an often repeated fact is that Edison often worked 40 hours straight (with only a few 1 hour naps in the afternoon).  Here are a few other of his quotations that I like on work ethic:

+  Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.

+  I am not discouraged, because every wrong attempt discarded is another step forward.

+  Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.
