Please put the lid down! (or ...my pet peave in the potty)

Photos are a buyer's first introduction to their potential new home. With this in mind, please check to be certain that the seat and lid are down on the toilet when posting those all important pics to the MLS or broker web sites. Also, remove --or at least empty-- the garbage can, and be absolutely certain that the plunger, toilet brush, pipe snake, etc. are not in your pictures. Nothing says "potential plumbing problem" like an ever present plunger! Plus, it's just kind of icky.

Hi Lynn, Maybe we met the other evening at the RESA meeting, there were many new faces to remember. I am in 100% agreement with you on the lid being down - I see professional property photographers making the mistake of leaving the lid up.... I guess it's up to us to educate them! Are you aware of when the RESA round table meeting is here in Portland? I intend on going and growing my staging business this coming year.
