Over and done with the, "I cant's". Why can't you? Do you really try?

What do you mean you can't?  Is that really ever a situation in your life?  If it is...move on to the postive side of Real Estate!  Hurry!!! and catch up!

Reasons to change your behavior:

#1. Have a positive attitude. Get up every day with a purpose, after all everyone is here for a reason...live and learn.

#2. If you are depressed, and get involved with depressed people, you will become the same...distance yourself from those types of people. Positive attitudes breed success.

#3. You can, through self discipline, surround yourself with others...like the successful agents in your office.  Live and learn their attitudes. That will amaze you!

#4. Read, live and learn through the best of the best agents on AR, there is so much information here. Read the positiveness and the great information on AR...then use it!

#5. Change your life style...get up every day with a purpose...if you don't have a purpose, create one. Create one you say? Yes, find a good reason, or find a purpose to get up and have a smile on your face and change your life.  Find a reason to make yourself happy, find your niche.

#6. Help someone else...it will make you feel better. Yes, I said, make an effort to help a friend in need...Giving of yourself creates a positive feeling and will make you smile...if creates good endorphins.

#7. Do something nice for someone else...someone who is ill, someone who needs a friend, someone less fortunate than you...and yes they are right in front of you on a daily basis.

#8. Make someone dinner who cannot provide for themselves. Have a friend over for dinner or take a dinner to a friend.

#9. Find a home for someone homeless.

#10. Smile in the morning...after all, you woke up to a brand new day.  Thank someone for that...after all...it's a new day and you can make someone else happy...if you are.

#11. Help your family or relatives...support them through thick and thin. Wouldn't you like reciprocation?

#12. Say, "I can", not, " I can't "...why? because you can!

#13. Have a new attitude!

#14. Give your time to help a friend, on no uncertain terms...wouldn't you like them to help you as well?

#15. Say something nice to someone, why, because it will make both of you smile.  Smiling takes far less facial muscles then a frown.

#16. Volunteer...anywhere, it's a great feeling to do, rather than to receive.

#17. Join a group where you can make a difference. Perhaps helping children without a parent, perhaps helping an elderly person go to the grocery store, perhaps just driving a friend to a doctor's appointment.

#18. Help the elderly, maybe just being a friend for a day.

#19. If you're religious, say a prayer for someone else, don't ask for favors for yourself...ask for help for others.

#20. Help those who cannot help themselves, then thank heavens....you can.

Don't think you can't, think you can!  Then prove to yourself that you have a purpose in life...

So many times we forget, we are here to help one another...and that we are here for a reason.

We can make statements, we can succeed, we are here for one another!

Don't you think?

I love that post!  I love being positive!  I am such an optimist and eternally happy.  The pessimists call me naive.  And then they wonder why they are so miserable......

Rebecca,

Thank you!  I love the positiveness that I am feeling right now...it is showing right through to my business as well... Busy as I love it!

I told an agent today that was sitting a few seats away...stop telling me about the negative market...I don't want to hear it...talk to yourself...I'm "ON A ROLL" AND IT'S A POSITIVE ROLL!!!!

I shared the "I can" comment with my soon to be 5 year old son.  I often explain to him that he shouldn't say he can't because, most often, he can.

Christine,

That is fantastic!  I love your attitude.  When my children (now 26,25, and almost 23) ever said they couldn't do something, I would ask them why they felt that way...then listened...

As children, they don't always understand how there are positive outcomes for almost all situations.

Explaining that there are reasons why they can have a positive outcome and explaining to them how to go about getting to positive outcomes, makes strong relationships with you and your child and also makes them leaders in the long run to what eventually will be their peers....

Christine, you will be a great mother!

thank you for posting!

Julie,

Me too, yesterday it was until 11:30 at night adding pictures to a new listing.  I love it most of the time, until I have to deal with a nasty, hateful other agent who is bossing me around....and I HAVE THE BUYER... that get's tiring...but I will survive and succeed!  Good for you GF!  Good luck to you.

Li,

You are welcome.  I went through a "fase" where I didn't think my real estate career was going to be successful, however, I changed my diet, I changed my exercise regime, I changed my attitude, and now I'm very busy...your life and your career as a real estate agent is what you make it. Period!

Thanks for the post! In this market and with all the negative media about real estate these days... you HAVE TO STAY POSITIVE for the consumers if not for yourself! People like to be around someone positive who makes them feel like "it's going to be ok" - We have to keep smiling and roll with the punches! Good Advice in your Blog! :)

I agree, don't stand still always be doing something. Read about things that can improve yourself, business and other people.  Always think of other ways to do things.  Keep communicating with others get their perspective and if they are negative, move on to the people are positive!

Bad things happen to everyone, but you can not let them effect you.  Keep moving forward! Keep active, educate your self, help others, keep develop plans,be consistent and implementing changes.

Karen, from day one we have always taught our children that I can't is not allowed saying in our house.

As far as helping others we do our part but remember there has to be proper balance.

Each day I promise myself that I will wear a cheerful expression at all times and give a smile to every creature I meet.

Thanks for sharing your poitive attitude!
