Highlands Ranch CO Homes and Information - Bunnies in window wells

In Highlands Ranch and certainly many other places in Colorado you can find many (bunny) rabbits. They are very cute and there are many of them.

Many residents know to check their window wells for bunnies. Every so often you will find a bunny trapped in a window well and we go on a rescue mission. Most of the time it's the little guys that seem to leap into the window well, and they just can't get out. Our ever-so-observant office kitty Maddie (read - a cat who would rather sleep than chase a bunny LOL) usually spots the trapped bunnies on one of her rounds around the basement.

Of course the best thing to do is to get covers for your window wells. If you do not have covers - check the window wells every so often and help the bunnies out.

This poor guy was so tired, he had been trying to jump out of the well for awhile.
