Share and Share alike---Listing Presentations

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty

Today our team got together for a marketing meeting to discuss our listing presentations.  We all have our strengths and our weaknesses, but why not help get stronger, while diminishing our weaknesses?  We shared our listing presentations with each other, and came up with great ideas, and learned things that we may have not otherwise seen.  When you get together, and you start brainstorming, you can come up with new versions, and up date and revamp what you already have.  Here were a few ideas I came away with that I thought I could share with you.

  • Use technology- PowerPoint/virtual tours/laptops to show websites/data/send CDs to clients ahead of time/print out PowerPoint
  • Leave behind personalized packet for clients to keep with bio/company info etc...
  • Binder with wealth of information/testimonials/local and national data/ personal Bio/Home Seller's address and pics if possible/neighborhood info
  • Know your audiance
  • Personalize/Localize

Take care from all at Horse Farm Partners!

I strive to always have a 'packet' of info, about me (testimonials, copy of my license, list of references, etc.) , my brokerage &  the local market to leave behind.  You're right about technology too: my listing presentation is on a power point slide show & I have some virtual tours that I've prepared & downloaded to show off.

Hi,

I agree if you want to do a Power Point presentation, you need to leave it ahead of time. I have found that if you "talk them thru" the presentation, they get bored and figgety.. They someone who will listen and who can market their home effectively.

Another obstacle that seems to still need addressing is the ineffectiveness of print ad versus on line advertising.- so at my open houses, I ask how they knew about the open house and include that information with my feedback to the sellers.

I agree!!! its best to always have as much prepared as you can--- you never know when somebody is going to call, and when they'll want to meet--- the last thing you want to do is say "weeeeell.... that time reeeeally isn't good for me, I'm really unprepared for you..."  ;)  We have a pile of folders on a shelf to leave behind all 'stuffed' and ready to go.  Maybe Just keep them in the trunk of your car ;)  Hand them out in traffic jams!  :)
