I work for a wonderful company that has REALTORS who contribute to a worthwhile foundation that helps many women & children!

Royal LePage Atlantic has REALTORS that are dedicated to the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation.  The Shelter Foundation is the largest public foundation in Canada that are dedicated exclusively to ending violence against women and children.  Royal LePage pays the costs of administration so that 100% of all money and effort goes towards helping local shelters and supporting violence-prevention programs in the New Brunswick area of Saint John, Rothesey, Sussex, Shediac and Moncton in New Brunswick, Canada.

Royal LePage REALTORS across Canada have raised more than $7 million since 1999 to help over 30,000 women and children each year.

This Friday, October 24th, 2008 at the Royal York Hotel in Toronto, Royal LePage is having an evening of "The Royal Treatment" at the Shelter Foundation's annual fundraising gala!  It's being hosted by CHFI's Erin Davis and featurning a performance by Destino.

This looks like a fantastic cause. I hope you raise a chunck of money. I'm very active in my church and we have a large ministry where we run a childcare, counseling center, and senior program. Giving back to people less fortunate or down on their luck is incredibly rewarding. Keep it up!

Thanks!  I believe we all need to balance our lives.  Giving back to the community is very beneficial for everyone in the community.

Ann-Marie - I Chair the Board of a refugee shelter in Toronto that has been the model for several other shelters across Canada. Last night we held a benifit concert at the Ontario Science Centre for our Refugee Centre that featured a group called Krystaal who were themselves refugess from the darkest days of the Congo

You all have been working hard for this great cause.  In Aiken we have 3 local charities that aid families in these devistating situations.  Keep up the good work!

Hi Kathy,

Being an ex-high school science & math teacher, I think having a concert at the Ontario Science Centre would be AWESOME!!!!!  I remember the AWESOME science centers in Portland, Oregon; Seattle, Washington, Chicago, Illinois and Orlando, Florida.  Now, I have to visit Toronto for sure, since it sounds so cool.  It's GREAT you are helping refugees from the Congo.

Hi Jane,

I always think it's WONDERFUL to take care of all of our local people, no matter where they came from, since it effects all of us within the community.

For the past 4 years I have been Event Chair for Beyond the Garden Gate. It is a fund raiser for my local hospital. It takes a lot of work but the end result is very rewarding. The funds go towards equipment for the hospital.

I have started my own fund raising efforts that I am so proud of. My husbands family is from Zambia.  My mother in law is head nurse at an amazing Orphanage there.  I raise money here to feed premature and newborn babies right up to teenage children.  I do it in a power point presentation set to Zambian music with photos from my families recent trip.  So far the project has been very rewarding and my town loves help my family in another country.  You can read up more about it on my webpage too.
