What's The HOT TOPIC this week was seen in the SENTINAL

The following was emailed from the Sentinal, from a story that hit the front page. Another drop in home values, which in this area have been dropping about 1 percent a month lately. For REALTORS and Real Estate Agents this, for most, was not news. But, for some homeowners its like the light went on, finally. During my course of business I talk with many agents. It appears that many agents emailed and faxed the news story to all their clients. All of a sudden, WHAMO, calls flooded in "We Need to lower the price if our home is going to sell". Now we have all been telling our clients that same message but it's like they needed to hear it from another source before they acted. The two days that followed the story the MLS was busy with price changes. It will be very interesting to see how many listing now go pending the next week or two.

There's no substitute for EXPERIENCE!

A FSBO I'd been talking to in my area sooooooooooooo needs to realize this (wait, actually about 3 of them do).  However, this guy's got his house listed with a no service MLS site for about $70K over and above market value.  Every day, his chances of getting a realistic $489K (PERFECT) offer on his home drops and drops and drops....

Great post Paul!  :)

Welcome to Active Rain - I think you are right on in our area also - so many sellers don;t realize that the market is still on the way down and are costing themselves real $$$$ by having their properties overpriced.

Anyway welcome from Palm Beach County.
