Can you stage your own home for sale? Take this quiz and see how you do. Be honest with your answers; if you cheat, you may have to reduce your asking price $10,000 or more at the first price reduction!

Can you describe who your buyers will most likely be?
Can you create the style that will appeal to most of these buyers?
Can you explain current trends in furniture style and colors?
Can you arrange your furniture and accessories to highlight the best selling features in your home?
Can you identify the "weaker" features of your home, and use creative problem solving to soften or improve their appearance?
Can you do the selection and purchasing of the accessories needed to stage your home?
Do you know how to arrange your new accessories to add drama to your home's listing photographs?
Do you have the time to finish all staging work prior to listing your home?
Will you follow through with staging your whole home without saying "that's good enough"?
Do you believe that it is your responsibility to make sure your home shows well?

WOW Sue - the transformation is amazing!!! Removing the island made a huge difference in the flow and sense of space. You rule.

My tulips were coming up under the last snow melt. But, I heard through the grapevine all we'll get here along the coast is LOADS of rain and lots of heavy wind. Not so sure about those living inland at this point. I think many parts are going to get clobbered by this storm this time around.

I LOVE your before and after pictures, Sue - you do a great job with those. I don't think I could pass your test with flying colors. I'm still toying with the notion of 'staged to live' I read about.....
