The Friendship Ball goes round and round
...to catch it quickly you are bound...If you're the one to catch it last....it's up to you to see it passed!
The other day I had the honor of being passed the ActiveRain Friendship Ball from my dear friend William Johnson. He and I re-connected on ActiveRain but originally met in 2002 while serving as Trustees for CREPAC (California Real Estate Political Action Committee). While I gained the highest respect for him during those years, it wasn't until we caught up on AR that we truly became friends.
So, now I am supposed to name three special friends I have met on ActiveRain. I have gone round and round because so many fellow Rainers have become friends...some whom I have met and some just through the Internet.
If you don't already know them, I would like to introduce you to three friends of mine who have inspired and supported me consistently during my time here in the Rain:
Jeff Dowler and I literally crossed the country opposite ways at about the same time. He settled in Carlsbad, CA from the Northeast and I moved to Lake Norman NC from Southern California. From the very beginning I had great fun reading Jeff's wonderful posts because I could relate to his process of adjusting to life and real estate in CA just as I was adjusting to life and real estate in the East. I think Jeff is truly one of the best out there when it comes to writing Localism posts. Every time I click on one of his posts I am treated to a journey back home. Jeff has been so supportive of me, always leaving encouraging comments. The last time I was in California we tried to find a time to connect but unfortunately, it didn't work out but I truly hope to meet him someday!
marti garaughty is truly an inspiration to so many of us here on AR. His incredible talent and encouragement for us all to raise the bar on our marketing is relentless. But what I didn't know until I emailed him for help several months ago is what a kind and generous person he is. Since then he and I comment regularly on each other's posts...his comments are always so supportive! Did I mention that marti and I are both cat lovers?
Carole Provenzale , AR's Feng Shui expert, reminds me on a regular basis through her posts about the importance of balance in our lives, making the right choices and surrounding ourselves with positive energy. She plays such an important role in her client's lives as well as all of us who follow her on AR. Carole and I have discussed my attending some Feng Shui classes in NY where she was trained and I hope someday to do just that and meet her as well!
