Long Days Are Not Always Productive!

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams

I have seen a lot of new agents working 12 hour days 7 days a week.  They are working very hard, the main problem is they are hardly working.  They are sending all this time working and have no business.  What they are doing is not productive in anyway.  20% of effort results in 80% of results in real estate.  Most new agents are working with 80% of the things that are giving them 20% return.  They are working very hard but are getting anything done.  Working 12 hour days 7 days a week to do one deal every 2 months is crazy.  My team and I have learned how to have systems in place that let us maximize our clients experience.  That is one of the big advantages of working for Keller Williams.  They teach you how to work smarter not harder.  An agent without systems is like driving a car without an engine.  Pushing a car around town is a hole lot of work to go a few feet. It seem to me that driving with an engine behind you, is a more logical way to go.  What systems does your real estate agent have in place?

i would agree with Luke - work smart. Average stats: the typical broker spends 20% of the day doing income generating things and 80% of the day working on non-income generating things. Always remember a pipeline!

So true. I started off working harder rather than smarter. Took me a while to finally come around, but when I did, life got a whole lot better.
