Schools are important part of any community, it is especially true for Fishers, Indiana because it is one of the reasons people move here. In 2005, it was recognized as a Blue Ribbon School; only 4% of schools nationwide achieve this merit. It is ranked 6th out of 327 public high schools in Indiana. It is located near the far east side of Fishers Real Estate, it is one of two high schools in Fishers, Indiana.
They offer an extensive cirriculum, many with national programs. These include Project Lead the Way in both engineering and biomedical sciences and the Academy of Finance. They have a program called SMaRT (Student Mentor and Resource Time) every Tuesday during 3rd period which has special information for freshman and study hall/mentoring time for upper classmen. In addition they offer many extra-curricular activities. They have 4 bands, 3 orchestras and six choirs. The Hamilton Southeastern Marching Royals competed last Saturday, October 18th in Mason, Ohio, and earned first place in their class of seven bands. The band earned first place also in music, marching, general effect, color guard and percussion in their class. Overall, out of 32 bands, the HSE Marching was ranked fourth. They also have a Mock Trial Team, Film Club, Speech Team, Quill and Scroll among other clubs.
They average about 2,000 in enrollment, it is 2,033 for this 2008/2009 academic year and has a ratio of approximately 20:6 for its student ratio. They graduate approximately 90% of their students and 80% of their students pursue a four year college or university. Their average SAT and ACT scores are 1095 and 24.3 respectively for 2007/08.
