All of the above require skills gained from practice and diligence. However, only one of them is more "forgiving" if the person involved in their preparation decides to experiment with the ingredients.

Vegetable Soup
The cook can vary the types and quantity of soup ingredients and still wind up with vegetable soup. Your soup may not look anything like mine (that is if I cooked soup), but it would still be vegetable soup.

Sourdough Bread
As a passionate home baker of artisan and sourdough bread, I can assure you attention to ingredients is the key to baking something other than a hockey puck or uncontrollable glob. Artisan breads do not lend them selves to technological wizardy such as a bread machine. It's the close attention to detail and "feel of the dough" that results in edible loaf of bread.

Selling Your Home
This is the one of the three that is actually a blend of making soup and baking artisan bread - it requires creativity and attention to detail. Not all Realtors® will see the features of your home in the same way. This in no way makes them incapable of selling your home.
In today's world of technology there is an almost endless supply of internet sites where your home can be marketed. I may not use the same sites as my competitor, but that is not the most important consideration when selecting a Realtor® to represent your interest.
While internet sites are valuable the most important marketing tool in the Realtor's kit it is the information he or she enters into the local Multiple Listing Service (MLS).
The vast majority of home sales are made by real estate agents searching the MLS for homes that match their client's parameters
- Many buyers want a home in a specific school district. If your listing agent did not enter the school names in the MLS your home will not be available to buyers wanting your school district
- Room sizes are important to practically every buyer. Again, if your real estate agent didn't measure your room sizes a buyer may not want to travel to your home to get the information
- The same is true about the number of garage spaces, flooring, fencing, patios, type windows, heating system, etc, etc.
Not all Realtors are as thorough as they should be - I see their sloppiness on the MLS all the time

Art--It takes the right combination of ingredients to get a home sold. And...If that is a picture of how your sourdough bread turns out, I think you should offer at your open houses...Looks very tasty. Bet the home would be packed with buyers. :)
