The members of The Soiree Round Table of The Woman's Club of San Antonio held their October Dinner & Meeting at COCO Chocolate Bistro & Lounge last night!
I was really looking forward to going to this new restaurant - I had read the reviews, checked out their website and almost memorized their menu. Oh, did I mention, I Love Chocolate!?!?
When Kathy Tarkington & Jean French (hostesses for last night's meeting) announced they had made arrangements for our Group to meet and have dinner at this new restaurant, I was just a little disappointed - not because I didn't want to go - I was planning for me and my co-hostess to host the November meeting there. But I was also excited - I'd already done the homework and knew the menu - lots of chocolate - and I didn't have to wait until November. Sure I could go with my husband - but I really wanted to experience this restaurant with my girl friends!
I arrived at 6:25 for our 6:30 PM meeting. I was greeted by this handsome guy - sorry, didn't get his name but I did get a picture of him - wooohooo -- and his title - he's the Assistant Manager. I asked if I could take pictures and he said yes, of course. Some of the ladies my friends were already there, sampling taking advantage of "Happy Hour". I took my pictures and joined them for a Chocolate Sin Martini. Oh MY!!! The name is very appropriate!!! It was sinful - I only drank one but if my designated driver husband had been there, I would have been tempted to have a second one.
We finally took our seats at our table (which was reserved for our group of 12). We read over the menu, discussed it at length, then finally placed our orders. I didn't order a main course, because I'd had several meetings yesterday, missed lunch and when I finally got home at around 3:30, I was starving. I ate a lite lunch/dinner and decided, to save room for dessert. I'm so glad I did - I had the Profiteroles with Hot Chocolate Sauce!!! Don't they look decadent??? They are!!
My friends who ordered a Salad and Entrée (I should have taken pictures said the food was delicious! It smelled wonderful and the presentation was beautiful. The restaurant filled up quickly - there was a group celebrating either a 21st Birthday or a Bachelorette Party and they were having a GREAT time! There were groups of ladies and couples having dinner - great place for "Date Night" or "Ladies Nite Out"!
