I have to say, I'm enjoying my new real estate career. Thus far, it has included mainly working with buyers and I have found myself exploring the outer rims of the county. I realize that I do live in a beautiful place!   It has been touch being away from my baby. I have worked more this week than I have since I gave birth and I miss him. Oh how I miss him! Sigh. I'm trying to decide if I think taking my baby around with me is unprofessional!   One thing that I have realized is that I have 10,000,000 things to do! I have to make sure I get my two CE classes in by June 10th and my post-licensing class in by June as well. Okay, so I guess that is only three things, but still! It seems like a lot when time seems such a precious commodity!   I'll keep you posted on how it is going!

Sara- When I was a buyers agent, I took my kids with me a lot, and got lots of sales because of it! Whenever I was a listing agent with children I also took the baby with me to appointments and everywhere! I had 6 kids, never used day care. Go for it!  Babies grow up too fast! Treasure every moment. The business will always be there, your baby will not!

I am a loan officer and father of two.  We just had our son in August, and having two is keeping my wife plenty busy!  She misses working, but also really enjoys her time with them.  It is a hard thing to leave them during the days to work.  I know how you feel because I miss them all day long!!

Would agree that you likely need to check with your client to see how they feel about having a baby along, There are may people who will mind-- but then there are others who won't. Perhaps only ask them after you get to know them so they are not feeling imposed on when you ask. Our 2 cents.

When you get busy be sure to take the time to schedule time with your family.  I actually made regular appts with my appt and when a client wanted me at that time, I told them them I had a previous appt.  My family supported my efforts as an agent and appreciated that I put them first.
