Patty recently earned her ASP® (Accredited Staging Professional) Real Estate Agent designation.  ASP is the only nationally recognized designation for Home Staging.  She received her designation and training from the professionals at Stagedhomes.com.

Home Staging started in Bellevue, WA in 1972.  Barb Schwarz was a Realtor who had challenges getting her clients to make necessary changes to sell their homes.  One day, a light bulb went on in her head and she uttered the words "Stage your house" with one of her clients ... and an entire industry was born.  As a Realtor, Barb understood that Staging is part of the Real Estate industry ... not the decorating industry!  This is a key distinction that sets ASPs apart from design facets that state they also Stage.

Accredited ASP Stagers and ASP Real Estate Agents are true Professionals trained under strict guidelines using proven Staging techniques developed for over 30 years. When you bring your home on the market and prepare your house for sale always hire an ASP because they are the true leaders in the Home Staging and Real Estate Industries.

Based on national averages, ASP Staged homes sell for more money than comparable non-Staged homes and/or in less time*.  Staging invites multiple buyer interest and generates offers at times even above the asking price.  Always insist on an Accredited Staging Professional when Staging your home.

Hi Patty.....I am interested in hearing if you have gotten any new business with your ASP designation.  I am pleased to have mine, but I've been busy with so many other things I haven't taken advantage yet of what they offer us.  Have you got any suggestions to take advantage of of what they offer us?

Ann - I just earned it, but I did build my profile on the StagedHomes website and put our staged listings on the StagedHomes.com website. Congrats on getting your ASP designation too!

Kathy -our plan is to use it to assist our sellers with a quick staging and if they need full staging to have them also use a full time stager.

Patty: Congratulations on opening new doors to your business!  I hope the ASP will bring more prosperity to your Real Estate career.  Did you take the class on line?  I have considered getting the designation as well.

Michelle - the class was offered in Portland, Oregon which is just 15 minutes or so away from us. It was interesting and confirmed that staging can make big changes in a lived in home.

PATTY:  Sounds like fun! How long was the class?  Having the background and knowledge in staging is an extra service you can provide to your clients and set yourself apart from the other Realtors in the Vancouver area. Best of luck with your new found knowledge.

Michelle - The class was 2 days. The second day they provided lunch from Quizno's and we personally staged a seller's home that had been on the market for awhile. It was fun!
