Having a goal of reaching the front page in Google's Serps. I know the importance of good reciprocal linking. I do monitor my progress in many search engines. However the holy grail of the SERPs must be front page placement in Google. Simply because of the amount of traffic it will produce. After only a short time I have already clawed my way to page 3. Not with my main domain but with active rain! Not know how prominent the site was I know now. In only a short period of time my blog has reached page 3 because of the linking on active rain. Key words of Real Estate Mobile and Alabama. Also Find Mobile Alabama Real Estate.
It put a smile on my face despite the fact it is not my main domain reaching such prominence in the SERPS. Heck I'll take that because a click thru will reach my blog then possibly a visitor to my main domain. All I need to do now is continue seeking others that will use my directories and change links with them. A task in its self. I know they are out there. But they don't know how important linking is.
