MUSIC LOVERS WEEKEND IN PALM BEACH GARDENS AREA

This is a great week for music lovers in the Palm Beach Gardens, West Palm Beach area.

Two major jazz festivals kick off this weekend -- The Palm Beach Jazz Festival in Wellington opens Saturday, April 14 at 4:30 p.m. with The Rippingtons, a jazz-blues-funk group.  At 6:15 piano great David Benoit takes the stage followed by headliner and Grammy Award winner Chris Botti at 8 p.m.  On Sunday beginning at 6:15 p.m. jazz vocalist Sophis Milman headlines followed by closing act Chick Corea and Gary Burton at 8 p.m.  The festival is being held at the Cultural Campus at Wellington Green, off Forest Hills Boulevard just west of the mall.  General admission tickets are $30 for a day or $45 for two days.

Jazz on the Beach, Riviera Beach, kicked off Friday night with Ruben Studdard, the Average White Band and Angela Winbus and picks up today (April 14) at noon with Grammy Winner Michael McDonald and Angie Stone. Sunday the festival kicks off at 4 p.m. with Yolanda Adams, four time Grammy winner.  Tickets are available at the Municipal Building, City Hall, Riviera Beach with prices ranging from $14 - $27.

 Saturday night at the Kravis Center brings Michael Feinstein, critically acclaimed for his renditions of Gershwin, Berlin, Porter and many other music legends.  He is joined by Roslyn Kind ( sister of Barbra Streisand) for an 8 p.m. performance.  And Sunday, April 15,  the Kravis Center headlines Nana Mouskouri on her World Farewell Tour at 8 p.m.
