Not sure how it is in your neck of the woods............ but here in San Joaquin Central Valley.... there are birds and their (droppings) everywhere!  I am not talking about the tweety bird....

Have you experienced the "birds" and has it been a problem with potential buyers that you were showing a house? This problem is wide spread with the foreclosures that the numbers are over whelming.  Some homes appear to be neglected, some are well maintained -- but most have "the birds" and that is because this area was once mostly agricultural and actually belonged to "the birds" and other wild life before KB Homes, Mertigage Homes, Shea Homes, Bright Homes, Pulte Homes, Kimball Homes, Ryland Homes, Toll Brothers, and many others.

YES! That is real birds all over the roofs.  Not just 1 or 2 - I mean several birds -- all types.

Every been out looking (with your buyers)... and had to step over or in some cases step in bird droppings? Well, let me tell you... it is not fun.  Yet, you try to move pass it and show the home with positiveness.  Inyour heart... you know the potential buyers are wondering about the what the birds will cause them if they purchase this home.

Some questions that potential buyers may ask.... about the birds

  • How many birds call this home?
  • Are they there all the time or just during a certain time of the year?
  • What do you do to get rid of the birds?
  • Do they carry dease?
  • Will they scare the children?
  • Will the seller pay to have the roof inspected and pay for the repairs caused by the birds
  • Will the seller pay to get rid of the birds?
  • Is there a disclosure for these birds and the problems they cause?
  • How do you run them away? And where will they go.... next door or out of the neighborhood?

When I first moved to this area, I had the pigeon problem during the first 4+ years --- I have paid for the "be gone pigeon" remedy, it did not work.  I have had someone put something in the pockets on the roof where they like to hide out.... and finally I am now down to only 2/3 that just will not leave. And to be honest, I think I have 1 or 2 pigeons and then sometimes I see another type bird on my roof!! The birds are diversed!

For months, I had this blue bird come to my kitchen window and peck on it for about 10 minutes and then leave.  He did this everyday....  I thought it was one of my deceased relatives coming back to check on me!!!! smile/wink.....

Now this is not a cut to the cut little birds that we love... I'm talking about birds that flock together and destroy your walk way, your, your roof, gutters, doors, porch, yard, garage cans, patio, decks, fountains, ponds, rocks, gate, fence, trees and your Welcome mat at the front door....etc.

If you are looking for a new career and you live in the San Joaquin Central Valley..... you might think about a "Bird be gone" company!
