Well, I took it as a sign. A sign of good luck. Must make the best of the good luck....
I stopped for gas the other night. On empty again, but at least the price has dropped below $3.00 a gallon. I think it was $2.79.... Anyway - An empty tank and the pump stops at $44.44.
A far cry from the high of $68 something to fill up....
SOOOOO - I decide to stop inside the station and drop off some Green Bay Packers game Schedules. I know the attendant, he even waived hello as I was filling up.
So inside I went, "please get me a $5 Powerball ticket" I say, and oh by the way - "may I leave these schedules here for the customers... and would you like one?"
Do you know where this story is going?
Well, I wish I could say the Powerball ticket was a winner - NOT! (At least not millions...)
The attendant, Mahendra says "oh, you are a Realtor?"
I proudly answer "why, yes".
Now he knows I live a few blocks away. He knows my husband, and my golden retriever.... he just didn't know I was a "secret" agent. LOL
Mahendra says "I am looking for a house", after a 30 minute discussion.... I have
ONE new customer. WHoopeee! We will be looking in January.... when he returns from a month visit back home.
Here's the tip: It pays to NOT be a secret agent. I try to not be a secret agent, I wear my name tag and a RE/MAX pin, but I still need to say ....
