Come Join Us for the 58th Annual Halloween Parade in Millburn!

Part of what I love about the township of Millburn/Short Hills is the community’s ongoing efforts to offer bonding experiences and to celebrate life. New homeowners are consistently attracted to the Millburn/Short Hills area for many reasons. The Blue Ribbon Award winning high school, the beautiful landscape and environment, delicious restaurants and trendy stores are only some of the more obvious qualities that the township possesses. What really makes the township unique are the many effective and impressive efforts made by members of the community such as the Millburn Fire Department.

The Millburn Fire Department is going to be sponsoring the 58th annual Edward J. O'Brien Halloween Parade. The annual Halloween Parade will be held on October 31, 2008. It will begin when marchers convene at fire department headquarters prior to 7:00 p.m. At 7:00 p.m. marchers will follow the parade route and begin the festivities. The parade route is going to follow Essex Street to Main Street and continue down to Millburn Avenue. Then the route will bear west and continue onwards to the Millburn High School gymnasium facility. Throughout the parade, the many marchers will be divided into separate groups. These six groups include: pre-school aged children, kindergarten through third grade children, fourth through seventh grades students, eighth graders and older, and finally independent groups and floats. When the marchers arrive at the gymnasium, the will aggregate according to groups in order to have their costumes judged. There will be first, second and third place cash prizes awarded for each group.

Festivities such as the annual Halloween Parade are surely a great draw for potential new home owners. It is no wonder that property in the township of Millburn/Short Hills is so coveted.
