I am getting such conflicting information on this issue that I decided to bring it to the ARCentury 21 Network.

I called our local board of realtors and received permission to do BPO work. The only stipulation was that my Broker had to approve each BPO and that we had to follow USPAP laws (USPAP laws are the same set up that an Appraiser has to follow) and we have done that.

I've been doing these for about a year since getting the go ahead from our board and while it isn't great money, it's a steady stream of "Gas Money, Open House Gifts & Marketing Material".

Well recently I was told that it's against Indiana Real Estate Law - so now I'm just not sure what I can or cannot do?  It seems silly that I cannot do them --- I'm good at it and unless I have like 10 to do I have them done in less than 24 hours. I'm in my 3rd year and feel I have been in real estate long enough to know how to do these correctly (or I wouldn't do them).

So Anyway ... thank you for your input on this.
If you have links to proof of your view on it please share them.
