Commercial Real Estate

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams

Hello to all my fellow real estate agents.  I would like to know how those of you that are primarily commercial agents got started?  Did you start as residential then switch over?  Or was there a special training program you went through?  It seems like a very closed world to me.  Commercial agents do not like residentail agents messing around with their "market".

Colleen,  You can take some CCIM classes (expensive but good) which would teach you all of the basics & more of CRE and also give you the CCIM distinction.  The best way to get into CRE is to dive in and start learning.  Once you bring these commercial brokers a deal, they will have no choice but want to work with you!
