Last year I earned my CRS (Certified Residential Specialist). (For information on requirements, go to www.CRS.com ).

I had worked toward this to obtain the designation and, hopefully, differentiate myself in the advertising forest of agents. I was surprised, very pleasantly so, when I discovered that attending the classes and meeting others in those classes had a very high payback. I met many agent that I still keep in contact with. One of the greatest values of the CRS, or any other designation is the indication that you set a goal, worked toward it, and accomplished it. Even though the CRS is recognized as the highest residential designation recognized by NAR, I have received as much benefit from those I met as I did from the 3 letters on my business card.

Congrats, Don!  I have found that the CRS folks are the brightest and best in the biz, so I do encourage everyone to work toward getting it, as you have!  Good job!

Way to go.  CRS is a huge undertaking.  I took the CNHS course at home and was surprised by how challenging it was.

Don - You may want to consider the CRS Sell-A-Bration conference in Hawaii next year - it's a great place to network with fellow CRS designees.
