Photo courtesy of intuitives Over the past two weeks I have spent some serious hours on the phone with the negotiator at Countrywide. I really don't enjoy this, but I do joke with her when we are on the phone. You know, whatever it takes to make the time go by faster, even though nothing seems to be getting done!

Well, Friday my wife put me on notice when I was talking to the home seller, and after 5 hours on the phone to the bank, I accidently called the home seller by the negotiators name. I caught it immediately and the home owner got a laugh out of it. But, my wife says if I call her by the negotiators name again, I will be cut off from the phone, internet and anything real estate related for 24 hours!

OUCH! Let's hope I don't make that mistake, I love Activerain way to much to go 24 hours without at least checking out some great post!

Okay Todd -- that is truly funny!  I think a time out is in order -- or you will be in big trouble with the wife and that can't be good!

That's funny.  It would appear that you are pre-occupied with your work.  Or is it pre-occupied with making a living??

Shucks, as long as you can keep your sense of humor, you'll be O.K.

Ohh I have got to know some of the bank people better than some of my cousins through this process, we all want to get the job done, even them. But someone keeps holding all of us back. Hmmmm

Oh my gosh - that is too funny!  I currently have a commercial client that my husband refers to as my second husband and the clients wife refers to me as the second wife.  We are in contact ALL the time.  At least all involved understand and we all get a joke out of it.

Hi Todd

After that many hours on the telephone it would be challenging not only to remember who you're talking with but what you said. You should receive an award for endurance. Or better yet a commission check.

Good luck and success

Todd - perhaps the Mrs. has a good point. Sometimes things get done when we sit back and just let them happen - besides I bet you and your wife could use a day alone without outside influence. You'll be a happier guy for it.

I have done that same thing.    Short sales are just time consuming, and HOPEFULLY you get the job done.   Here in Denver - they SAY only 15% of the short sales actually get closed.     Alot of time spent for not enough credit!    Good luck!

Todd

Isn't it amazing how fried we can get after 5 or 6 hours on a phone?

Todd- Someone on here gave a name of a great resource for Countrywide....can't remember her AR name, but will go find it.  She had a similar experience of waiting with Countrywide and finally got to someone that had the approval in less that 2 days.....:) Send me a mail to remind me if you want the name.

Joan - I'm glad you got a laugh out of my pain!

Rebecca - Then she better be prepared to yell at me, because I have a much bigger post coming about her in the near future.
