Triathlons
Did you know FCC races Triathlons? Omega Mejia placed 3rd in the Blackland Triathlon last week, you guys better watch out- she won a new bike frame at the event and when she gets that built up- she will no longer just "be" with the A group, she will crush the A group!
News & Highlights
Stay tuned to our website as we launch a few new programs for next year! We've had a great '08 and want to continue our momentum into '09. We would like someone to volunteer to help the club as we undertake the challenge to submit our information to USA Cycling and complete the application for club of the year! Next FCC meeting is November 10th. Please make sure your membership is up-to-date and encourage your fellow riders that may not be FCC members to join and take part in our informative club meetings. More information is below.
We Rode to City Hall: To have "Coffee with the Mayor" and give approval and thanks to the City, read that write up below from Tim Knowles our new club Secretary.
Trick-or-Treat: RBM and a few FCC members will be passing out candy at Frisco Fire Safety Town this Friday night the 24th from 6 to 9pm. The event is open to toddlers through 5th graders. Get there early as the event drew over 6000 last year.
Chill in Your Bones? FCC is working on some "hot gear for the cold rides" Hats, knee and leg warmers. We're working on the order now. Stay tuned to the website and e-mail for the next announcement. It may be the latter part of the year so preorder soon to ensure you grab yours! The Texas Custom Bicycle Show: Ever dream of owning a true custom ride? Perhaps one made by one of Texas' finest frame builders? You have an opportunity on Saturday November 1st to see handmade, custom bicycles produced by eight of Texas' top artisan Frame builders. This show is being hosted by the Superdrome at 9700 Wade Blvd. (NE corner between Preston Rd. & Hillcrest). It's open to the public and free of charge.
Help Design Frisco! The City of Frisco is looking for direction from citizens interested in helping update the City's Zoning Ordinance. This committee directly impacts the future development of our fine city. Applications are being accepted now through November 17 for Zoning Advisory Committee (ZAC).
