My 2 Year old Understands Electricity

By
Real Estate Agent with Wagner Inc. Real Estate

This past Saturday night, Havertown experienced a good soaking and a lot of wind before the big Phillies game!  After just having sat down for dinner, the electricity went out as a large tree in our neighbor's yard snapped in half and collapsed on the power lines.  Luckily no one was hurt the the huge branches had missed not only the home, but their light post, which amazingly was still standing in a middle of a pile of huge branches.

Sitting around the table in the dark, my 2.5 year old daughter asked, "What happened to the lights?"

I tried to explain, "The power went out and we don't have any electricity."  Well done Dad, way to relate by using concepts of power and electricity to a 2 year old.

However, she responded quite appropriately, "But I have powder for my heiny and we can just go to the store and get powder for the lights!"

I couldn't have said it any better.
