Doesn't matter who I talk to and in any state, if you ask how's biz.. on most occasions there is a hesitation...then the tone changes..to the ever dreaded...business is slow voice.
This morning when I walked in my office..activity..one was turning in a closed file...another finalizing her pending sale and excited about her new listing..the listing machinewas doing the usual and was in front of people...price reductions...offers being negotiating...heck in one of the other offices..one of our agents has 4 pendings for the week....while it might not be abundant ...real estate is happening...if you make it happen.
When morale is down..I notice things...fewer agents in the office...slumped shoulders...that slow business face! Often times it's the basics that slip away...and so do the customers...slip away from you..and into a different real estate office.
Get Pumped Up...Get Inspired!
It's time..to start moving a bit faster..with a little bit more efficiency..and sometimes that means stepping away from your computer and being face to face socializing and networking...it means picking up the phone and even when necessary knocking on doors or even warm calling.
Some may believe these methods are old school but I believe that some oldies but goodies never go out of style..and if you supplement technology with old school methods..you might find real estate enjoyable again.
Great post Midori. I try to stay positive, especially in our market. Things are starting to move, I have buyer ready to go and we have missed two homes in the past week that have gone pending the day we were ready to write. No time to waste anymore!
I've been away from your blogs for a bit. I'm very happy to see that you're still going strong and I stay enthused by your mindset. Reach for the stars lady.
