I have finally got most of the outside Halloween (lights) decorations up (we'll see how much gets stolen...). I'm passing on decorating the inside this year - I just don't feel like it. I'll finish adding all the outside stuff on Friday eve before the kids start showing up. I just don't risk leaving it all outside for eny length of time, the really neat stuff anyway. Then at 8:30 or so, we take it all back in the house, where we walk around it for several days until I get it all put away in the basement.
Since I have to begin decorating for Christmas earlier than normal this year, I don't think I am going do decorate much for Thanksgiving, either. I'll go straight from Halloween to Christmas. We're hosting our club Christmas Party on Dec. 6. When I volunteered to host the party, I didn't know they were planning to hold it so early in December. I might have two trees up, but not all of them by that date. We will hold our annual Holiday Party after Christmas and New Years this year. Last year we had it on the weekend between Christmas and New Years and we had a great turnout. The holiday rush is over, everyone can just relax and have a good time.
We're heading off to bowling in a little while. I sure hope we do better than last week. I've never bowled so badly. I think my highest score last Monday was 65. I bowled better than that the first night we bowled, and I hadn't bowled since high school. Thank goodness for a huge handicap.
Winter is upon us, although you probably got it before we did. We turned on the heat last night for the first time this year. The night before we turned on the fireplace, but it didn't heat up the second floor. It was just too chilly in the house. Tonight we have a killer freeze warning. We brought all the plants in that we want to keep - we can't walk in the sunroom at this point. I love autumn, but really don't care for the cold weather...

Tim, it is nice to see someone who has so much holiday spirit!
