Last Friday night was our yearly Trunk or Treat that is hosted by our Church each Halloween season. This year was a lot of fun for Nestor, myself and our son.
We had planned to leave the house at 3:00 p.m. to go to ToysRus to buy our son his Halloween Star Wars costume, candy and some decorations for the trunk. Most Fridays is date night for us. We usually shut down working about this time on Friday so we can relax and get ready for an evening out to dinner and a movie. But this day was unusually busy with over 6 offers coming through our fax machines. Of course this is good news and since all the offers were on short sales I just called each buyers agent to let them know I received their offers and would be working with them on Monday.
So then we got a late start and hungry so we stopped in at Smokey Bones for the Grilled Salmon 2 for 1 they had going on. Our son kept asking us, aren't we supposed to be at ToysRus and then decorating our trunk? To a 6 year old, food is the last thing on his mind!
Each year we start off with a costume party for the children and they parade around in a circle in front of the judges. Here are some of the photos I took of the parade.
After the parade the children all go outside in the parking lot to the safe Trunk or Treat. We brought enough candy for about 200 kids. We ran out of candy before the treaters stopped coming by.
Many families from the surrounding neighborhoods came to our church to take part in the festivities. There was an outdoor haunted house ( mildly haunted) and a live band consisting of some of the Dads from church who get together jammin'.
Make your plans now to come out next year for the Trunk or Treat in Wellington Florida.

I love the Trunk and what cute costumes. Sounds like everyone had fun and I have to admit I love the phrase mildly haunted. It sounds like something a realtor would write - " The home is mildly haunted " LOL Thanks for sharing. I love the personal photos!
