Blogging is NOT outdated and it is very relavant. Since I have started blogging I have seen an enormous increase in traffic to my sites and picked up quite a bit of business!
Thanks for the Blog Rebecca and a trip down memory lane....The Carpenters, Junior High, and Sock Hops. Now, if you are as young as you look in your picture, then you probably will have to ask your mom about sock hops!!! BTW - Karen looks sick in this video, what a shame!!!
Rebecca
Blogging is a very effective way to let the public know you, and it also allows us to engage in
great dialog with fellow brokers, which the public can see.
It elimanates the stuffiness that can go along with this industry.
Sincerely
Tom Braatz
Hi Rebecca, I think it is relevant. I am so new and so late to this medium. I figure if I found it, it must have been around for awhile? However, when I talk to other agents and other people in general they have no idea what I am talking about. Maybe for once I am ahead of the curve.
Leesa- A few months ago my outside blog moved from a typepad format to wordpress. The wordpress blog in just a few months has significantly increased link popularity to the website.
Lewis- Just noticed what your saying about Karen:-(
Real Living- Marley= Songs for the soul.
Heather- Exactly right.
Bill- Lovin' every minute of it. Being this real feels really good.
Tom- Great point- it's a great way to show the public that real estate pros are real people too:-)
Audrey- That doesn't surprise me, I've spoken with more than a few. Look at A/R, for as many that are active....there are many more members that aren't. Not late at all, just in time for warm up:-)
I think your 5% number might be high. The brokerage I am with has over 150 agents, I have blog and another agent posts once a month. I have invited 4 or 5 to AR but they don't get so they don't bother. Thats good for us early adopters.
Steven and Ryan- I just edited, thank you gentlemen..it's actually 7%, most recent technology survey released by C.A.R. You can safely assume that if it's 7% in CA than it's at least 30% less nationwide.
