Rochester and Rochester Hills in Oakland County Michigan are rich with great places for family fun like the Paint Creek Trail, Stoney Creek, several Cider Mills, the Art & Applies Festival and the the Village of Rochester Hills. You can find all kinds of entertainment throughout the year--not to mention great places to live. This event welcomed the fall season with pumpkins and free family enjoyment for two days in October. Everyone was invited to come and pick a jack-o'-lantern at the Village's Pumpkin Patch in Festival Park where professional pumpkin artists were standing by for part of the day Saturday to carve silly or scary faces free of charge. All proceeds from pumpkin sales benefited the Oakland Cobras U-14 Travel Softball team. There was someone creating caricatures, a face painter, a horse drawn hay ride, free apple cider and more.

Bill: Thanks for stopping by. The Rochester Hills village mall is great with a lot of family events throughout the year and I think Halloween is a time to be able to creatively be someone else and have fun with it. I remember many costumes over the years.

Cathy the Rochester events sound fun. I am a big fan of Halloween and will be a big kid dressing up!
