He Who Hesitates...

By
Real Estate Agent with Taylor Properties 500436

...loses the bid and loses the property.

I guess "the market" is picking up in my neck of the woods.  It's been 2 weeks and I've written 3 different offers for three different buyers.  As the saying goes, "third time's the charm", but that has not been the case here in beautiful Bel Air and surrounds. You see, each of my aforementioned 3 buyers were, how should I put it, a day late and a dollar short.  None of the 3 buyers' offers were accepted because another buyer (or three) beat us to the punch.

He who hesitates loses.

So, If you're currently in the buying mode and you see a property you really like, do something wild and crazy -- step outside of the box, break through the paradigm...

make an offer on it.

And here's something even crazier -- get that offer in today because when you get around to making your offer tomorrow, that home you really like may be under contract...

with another buyer.

Ask my three buyers.

Anyways, I'm seeing the whole silver lining of it all; the market is turning...

ever so slowly,

yet surely...

and I'm thinking it's a good thing.

Call me if you want to buy or sell in Bel Air.  I'm a Realtor!

Lanette, I bet all three of those buyers are telling you, that was the one house that they wanted.

Lanette some buyers just need to completely trust and stop thinking that all we want to do is just receive a commission check. However it is sad that that's the case for some real estate agents. Have a great weekend. Great post.

Lanette - I see this as great news!  Not too long ago people were too afraid to even shop for a home!  I know you'll find the right home for your clients!

We haven't spoke for a couple of months...I hope all is well.

Morning Lanette!  A few months ago I read an article wherein a millionarire said, "Don't suck your thumb when it comes to making a decision." He went on to say that if he thinks about buying something, and has an interest and then actually goes to look - he makes a decision right then and there.  I have told a client or two this same thing -- if you sit around thinking that a home will be there tomorrow and there is plenty of time - even in this market - the good deals are GONE and FAST!  Nice one! Hope all is going well!  --Gabrielle

Hi ya'll,

Thanks for dropping by and thank you for your comments! My apologies for not responding sooner...I've been very busy showing more properties to those 3 buyers.  Seriously!

I think losing out on those homes has lit a fire under their butts!

You Deserve The Best

I love this post and not sure how I missed it.  You are absolutely right!  The market is changing and if someone waits to make an offer they will lose it.  Imagine that!  You lose out on your dream home simply because you wanted to sleep on it one more night or you are trying to make the sellers nervous?

I love this post.  I can't wait to get back into my office so I can take and email you a couple of snap shots.  I'm always saying... He who hesitates has no lake house.  In fact I have it here on my profile and a friend needle pointed it and framed it for me.  I love this post.
