Testing, testing (one, two)

Wow! What an extensive amount of knowledge I need to make this Blog work is totally overwhelming me right now. I love the idea of doing it, but my Type A personality is driving me to make my Blog the best it can be, and not only in my own mind. I have to know how to add links, pictures, events. I have to get people to want to read my writing. Why? Because that's just how I roll.

So, this is a testing entry. I am going to add links, the first one to the source of my consternation. I started reading the newbie group. It's very helpful, but where do I start? What I need is for some more experienced users and Bloggers to help me figure out what is truly important. Is it the graphics? Photos? Links? Is it my voice, or is this too personal? How can I make my Blog interesting to both other Realtors and the general public? Obviously, I would like it to be a tool to help me grow my business both by establishing contact with other realtors and also by helping me find local buyers and sellers. But just how do I start?

I guess that is what I can figure out to add for now.  And from what I have been reading, I will begin to focus more on local flavor soon.  I spend lots of time taking my children around town and showing them all the things they can soak up just from watching and listening.  I'll just keep my camera with me, and some others can watch and listen with us.  Thanks for reading.  No, really.  Thanks.  I know this is rough.  I'll get better, I promise.

Christina:

Welcome aboard and I can see that you are going to be just fine.  I remember feeling just as you are when I started in January.  My only recommendation is to try something new each week.  Jump in, get your feet wet, stick with it, and little by little all those hints you are reading will start to make sense.

Have you been able to dig out of all that snow you got this winter?  I lived in Syracuse for a year and remember the snow well!lol

This is the coolest thing.  I am especially excited to be able to "talk" to others in my field while I am also at home with my family.  I read an article earlier on addiction.  Can you become addicted in just two days?  I think I already am!

Chris- Thank you for the welcome and for reading my blog!

Joan- Your kind words really helped me.  We have only a little snow right now, but they are "promising" 6 to 12 inches tomorrow.  Yuck!  Even though I was born and raised here, I really dislike the winter.  We are thinking of moving south in a year or so.

Scott-  Thanks to you too.  I hope my "style" isn't too out there for most people.  I really appreciate your feedback.

Welcome, Christina!  You commented so nicely on one of my blogs that I had to come over and visit you properly at your place.  I like what you've done with it so far!  You're going to be juuuuust fine.  Don't worry about perfection.  A blog is a work in process.  You'll see yourself grow in your writing style and the way you arrange your posts.  It's all good!  Just dive right in and talk about whatever you find of interest.  Best advice I can give you is to be yourself.  Looks like you're doing just fine so far!
