I find it interesting when reading through our weekly San Diego Reader that certain things seem to have picked up in this economy. Obviously the home rental market has picked up due to all the people who have lost their homes to foreclosure and had to move. I suspect they didn't just buy another home.

In almost every research study there is, of course, free medical exams and evaluation, and many of them also offer compensation. The highest compensation I've seen is $4,645, with many of them being in the $1,500 to $2,000 range.

Imagine if one had a family of, say, five, all of whom had various disorders. That could be a windfall of many thousands of dollars, not to mention all those free medical exams. Check your local publications for easy ways to get a health checkup and possibly a few thousand dollars.

My favorite one, though, and it's a new one, is this one:

Unfortunately for me, they told me no when I sent them a picture of my car:

So I'm off to check on some of the other research studies. Maybe I'll qualify for a couple of them. I'll let you know if I'm successful. A couple thousand dollars could pay to have my car detailed and put a really nice CD player in it so I can listen to some music while I'm driving.

I don't think I qualify for any of the above mentioned exams but that driving one is right up my alley.  Even with lower gas prices.

Thanks for the warning, as I have a closing today in Iowa and will be on the watch for paid participants in the Iowa research group. Locally Wisconsin folks refer to Iowa as meaning " Idiots Out Wondering Around" so maybe they do need a research project. a really big... LOL, LOL, LOL   Disclosure: Not intended to offend Iowa folks, as I did not make this up, I move here from Illinois.
