Who Is ActiveRain's Jeff Corbett - The XBroker?

Today I had the pleasure of having some fun with our very own Jeff Corbett. At the last minute, I tricked him to coming on the RAIN Radio broadcast so we could chat about business and social media stuff. What Jeff Corbett didn't know is that prior to going "Live", I placed a few calls today to arrange for a couple surprises. This was a kick! I'm only posting this because it was like "This Is Your Life" remember that program from years ago where they brought family and friends on the show to surprise guests, (some here may be too young to remember). Jeff Corbett is a really bright guy with a huge history and background in many segments of this Industry. He's really is a very sharp guy, and he spills the beans on the air today!

You'll just have to listen to the show for the details on that one. I took the Liberty to have a little fun with Jeff today and initiate him ActiveRain style. I for one, am happy he's on board. I think he brings a whole new element of excitement to our team and the AR family, (even though he's been around since the beginning) and I'm really stoked that Jeff is part of our staff now. Welcome aboard my friend.

Thanks Jeff, I really enjoyed our chat with friends on R.A.I.N today. So tell me, is there really a mask? :-O

hey Brad, I'm just listening to the end of yesterday's show you did with Jeff Corbett... OMG, what a voice!!!! While somewhat monotone, the timbre of it gives me shivers. LOL!! Oh you can broadcast that voice anytime, Brad...and it was fun getting Jeff Turner on the line..I'm so inspired that I want to shave my head. I was surprised to learn that Corbett wrote his first ever blog on AR on his birthday in 2007---"cutting his baby teeth on AR" as he phrased it. He's adorable... please give XBroker an "X" from me ;-)

I am on my way to listen now since I was busy during the show yesterday...I know you missed me :)

I've been following Jeff around for a while, and am enjoying him here, even without cowboy boots. Thanks for your help with the new program, again!

Carolyn - thanks for the Club Chaos "Feature!" Jeff deserves it. :-)

Mara - he is a soft spoken gentleman, and loaded with ideas and experience. I think his passion for the network is evident when you listen to this broadcast. I'm looking forward to his contributions and input to the network and to our team.

Bill - I just knew someone would think or say that! LOL~ Actually, if you know both Jeff's like I do, the main commonality is that these are a couple of the sharpest guys I know when it comes to all this WEB 2.0 stuff. Not just the technical side, but the real life application of how many of these concepts and platforms are suppose to and do work. You spend an hour with either of the Jeff's and you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. :-)

Jeremy - we missed you on the show yesterday, I was actually watching for your number to pop up on the switchboard and I think it was even sub-consciously. See what happens when you're consistent? It has an impact on those around you.

Hope you enjoy the recorded broadcast, when you're done, you'll really feel like you know Jeff Corbett better, he's an easy kinda guy to engage with, and there is so much value I think he brings to the table.

Susie - I was just hearing (maybe creating a rumor) that the XBroker wore a mask, and now you're telling me that he wears Cowboy Boots to "Boot?" LOL~

I'm glad I was able to pick on Jeff a bit - he's a good guy and Active Rain is lucky to have him on board - did you learn how to say my name right yet? ;)

Ines - DUH!! Eyenz was not what I meant to say (twice) LOL~ I know how to say your name, it just came out that way for some cowboy reason. Boy I butchered it for sure, sorry! What if I lied and said I was just trying to protect your identity in case anything incriminating was said on the line... haha

I owe you a drink at NAR for sure, better make it two. :-)

So Jeff - guess everyone already knew who you were. The Xbroker unveiled. Looks like this party got interupted by our Florida trip to NAR. I forgot we even did this post! That's funny! :-)) Thanks again for taking time to do this broadcast, we gotta do it again sometime soon....
