Have you ever just sat down for a coffee with someone that you have never met before and felt more inspired and excited about this business after you have talked to them.

I had just such a meeting yesterday with a Mortgage Broker that I have never dealt with before - Penny Donnan.  A past client of mine had just had a successful purchase on a great property and had used this Broker for the transaction.  I like to know what kind of service that they provide and always ask my clients their thoughts and in this case it was excellent.

Penny called me to see if I would be interested in meeting for coffee which I accepted due to the fact that my client was very impressed with the service she provided to him.  Many of the Mortgage Brokers in our area simply send out emails or call and it is difficult for me to even recommend them to clients without first getting an understanding of how they work and how they treat my clients.  I tend to refer people who work like I do.

Our meeting went well and although I probably talked way too much (something I do when my mind gets going with potential and excitement) I went away from that meeting with a renewed energy and excitement about this business.  Yes times have been challenging to say the least but when you are able to look past that and into the future potential it is very exhilarating and inspiring.

This coming year is going to be interesting and probably challenging as well but I am excited at the potential!  I have vowed as an early goal for next year to only surround myself with the kind of people that inspire and excite me about this business!

Be positive, inspire and get excited while you are out there...just maybe it will catch on!

We all need to expand our sphere of referrals, especially after we have lost some very close friends and colleagues to market conditions, I am glad this one turned out to be a great catch for you.

Hi Jon, Great idea to reach out to new people! You never know when a great relationship will develop.

I just had to come over and comment on your blog. I was looking through my old blogs for a contest we are having in the ECO All-Stars group and I just realized ... you were the very first comment on my very first blog!

You didn't know you were my first, did you!!! LOL! I'm chuckling! Glad to see you are still here and still kicking! Thanks for the support that scary day so long ago!!! Just sharing the love!
